The /etc/default/passwd does the MIN & MAX and length........ If there aren't any NATIVE ways, can you all gimme some good 3rd party utilities or passwd replacements that you use to enforce a stronger passward construction??
I'm not a Solaris guy, but couldn't you just write a Perl program (with a Tk interface if your users like graphics) that would scan the password, make sure it follows the rules, and then does the password change?
