maybe you want to write a program with the transpernt window and set it to
a screen saver look at a vc++ samples that come with the sdk they should
be a good place to start - the transpernt screen will allow the output to
be seen but the programs will not allow modification to any of them
without entering the windows screen saver or login password - depends upon
the windows version

Cathy: Hi Chris,
Cathy:
Cathy: Yes that is pretty much exactly what we need to do. We have
Cathy: an app that shows the status of jobs that take very long to
Cathy: complete. We want people to be able to see the status of jobs
Cathy: but do not want them to be able to terminate them (or do anything
Cathy: else for that matter)
Cathy:
Cathy: This seems to be an easy solution. Can you think of any others?
Cathy:
Cathy: Thanks for your feedback.

Im curious as to why you wouldnt set up a BIOS keyboard lock, unless the
BIOS does not have that option?

That way, you wouldnt need any screensaver to run and the mouse and
keyboard are locked until someone enters the BIOS password.

Thanks
