I agree completely! I used the Sybex Study guide and failed the first time even though I had already passed the GSEC Sec Essentials exam. The Comptia phrasing is a bit vague at times. TCat's book/PDF is a very good study guide. It seems that books/study guides/etc often seem a bit patchy in their coverage of the subject matter. The test is a bit weird too, IMHO. I would like to begin a transition into the security side of IT, and figure thattheSecurity+ certification would be a good place to start. Also I can useSecurity+ it for credit toward the new "MCSE +Security" which makes it extra useful. I amconfidentI have a good foundation in security, but would like to hear some recommendations from the list members on books they mayhave used forthe Security+.
