Get a lawyer and a subpoena. With a lot of digging, if you have great research skills and get lucky, you might find something without having to ask Yahoo for the user's data. Chances are, though, you'll waste your time. Don't, DON'T call the FBI over this. This is not a criminal matter--it's a civil matter if it's anything, and it might not even rise that high The FBI will they have plenty enough to do investigating real crimes, and they'll politely tell you that it's not their problem.that is the way you are going I echo the recommendation to bring in a lawyer (ack! cough!) NOW! Perhaps, if you are really, really ticked contact the FBI through Infraguard contacts.
If you're unwilling to file a lawsuit because of the expense of a lawyer, that's one thing. But if you're unwilling to file because the offending content doesn't meet a libel standard (or have some other pretext to get it into court), I suggest that you consider another poster's comment: getting the information will be difficult or impossible because it's supposed to be that way. Privacy policies exist partially to protect people from this exact scenario.
