Hi everybody! A couple of days ago I released a simple paper regarding rootkits on Rathore Balwant's PenTest list. Today I'm releasing it here, I hope it is useful for people starting in this interesting area. The paper's first version (this one) is NOT covering the newest technology on rootkits, as the creator of it requested, which will currently remain anonymous. Stay tuned! It is an GNU FDL licensed document. Level: Basic/Avg You can download the paper from this URL: http://www.buanzo.com.ar/files/BUANZO-Detecting_and_Understanding_rootkits.txt It's md5sum is: 1074c2fc96ca0ff9940a1a49f20b8431 Bye! I hope you all enjoy it. -- Arturo "Buanzo" Busleiman - www.buanzo.com.ar - GNU/Linux Documentation GNU's es_AR Team Leader - PGP/GnuPG Key available at horowitz.surfnet.nl Casilla de eMail _GRATIS_ de 21Mb Webmail/POP/IMAP/SMTP en www.daleclick.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
