Thank you all for your help.  I was able to remove it but was not sure if the application stored itself on a section 
for the hard drive that required a deep format to remove it.  www.nai.com has this in its list and the removal process.

Xupiter is nasty stuff. Use Spybot (http://security.kolla.de/) to
eliminate. Ad-aware has not been updated in a while, and the last time I
tried it, it did not detect Xupiter (Spybot did). Here's a few links to
