Try these 2 companies.  They provide a software application that is
installed, invisible to the user, on the hard disk.  The client then makes
calls to their management center.  When reported stolen, and the notebook
makes a call the device can then report back the phone number it is dialing
from (breaking all caller id) or the IP information if it is only connecting
through a network.

The companies have policies and procedures for recovery that quickly return
the device once a call has been made.  They typically claim a 90% success
rate on all devices that ever establish a connection after being stolen.
I've spoke with people that say that they usually recevie a 1 week turn
around time.

I am serching for two diferent solutions:

1) If the notebook is lost or stoned a software that can inform, via
internet, the ip where is connected.
2) If some one takes the notebook from the bilding any chip or similar that
alerts, may by using an arc or similar
