Hi Mahesh, Thanks for the Document. i have already gone through "EtherChannel" configuration. That attached document, helps to configure as Network Interface Backup connected to multiple ISP. when one adapter(link) fails load will be balanced to the other adapter . i.e. one adapter is active at any given time. In fact, My problem is to configure ether channel in round robin mode such that out going packets should follow more than one ethernet adapter in equal order connected to Multiple ISPs ( (both links should be active). i have 2 Questions 2 ask u. Quest (1): one adapter configured with IP ( 192.168.0.20 ) connected to one ISP (192.168.0.1) other adapter configured with IP address( 172.168.0.20) connected to different ISP{ 172.168.0.1) , such that both adapters configured as a Etherchannel defined should distribute packets in equal order / Round Robin way . How to configure the above situation? any Idea? Quest (2) : Though, its possible to configure the above situation with "Etherchannel" setting "Mode" as a " round_robin " mode . but, the adapters should be cabled with Etherchannel-enabled switch. Is this Etherchannel switch Required? can i configure without the switch ? i dont want to put a switch after etherchannel ? how to handle this case to get efficient usage of bandwidth ? Hi Kiran, Native AIX itself supports "Etherchanneling" ,,,this feature helps you with this situation ..but only in AIX5.X here is the complete step-by-step procedure to configure that same. (See attached file: etherchannel configuration in AIX51-03.doc) let me know if u have any Qs. Hi there, Has anyone implemented load balancing on a AIX Host with specifying two default gateways of equal cost. though I have'nt managed to locate a configuration document as such. i want to do balance the load of outgoing packets over more than one ethernet cards evenly. could u tell me the way to do load balancing on AIX host connected to multi links. Thanks in Advance Regards, kiran --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
