security+ is not worth the time and money spend if you want to be a good security specialist!

cissp is the one that you want,
but as you cannot get that one there are others like giac and others, they are real good

security+ is good for managers who do not have to handle the computer equipment like routers on a daily basis but just 
want to formulate policy changes and other stuff that does not have anything to do with the config and setting up of 
any hardware.


since you are a net engg aim for some thing that have a lot of weight like this giac at www.sans.org
