- Nokia (Hardware)+ Checkpoint (Software) if you have money to spend. - Sun Blade + Solaris (there is an open firewall for solaris, but I cant remember its name, sorry). - PC + *nix if not. Nokia use a proprietary OS. CheckPoint is a leader in the market. Sun is good for developing mid sized servers. The last if for the "make it yourself". There are options in the middle, if you wish (Stonegate and others...). In all cases you also need a third party solution for antivirus (Trendmicro and similar), SPAM, content filtering, etc. A tip, search for 1 solution for 1 problem, not 1 solution for all the problems. I think its not the way. Modular solutions works better in wider scenarios, and you can make a "modular solution" for the wide variety of costumers (work once, live better...). The NetScreen 5GT looks pretty good and I would like to know if anyone has positive or negative experiences with NetScreen, or can recommend another unit to suit my needs.
