Check out eToken from eAladin, it does all that and more, unfortunately its not a storage device, rather USB authentication device. I'm not sure with a regular storage USB drive. - Nick -----Original Message----- From: Gavin Swanson [mailto:s7726 () yahoo com] Sent: Friday, April 30, 2004 7:55 PM To: security-basics () securityfocus com Subject: winXP USB key authentication Is there a way to use a regular USB storage key to login to a winXP pro box. I'm just looking to use it on my home system. I would like to be able to walk up to the system and insert the key into the front USB port, thus causing windows to log me in, without typing a password. i would then like to be able to either logout or lock the workstation simply by removing the key. Is this possible using free utilities? Thanks Gavin S. s7726 () yahoo com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- Ethical Hacking at the InfoSec Institute.
