Security basics training for users

I have been asked to put together a 1-1/2 day seminar to teach basic
security to our corporate users. Class size would be 4 - 10. Audience
would be a mix of liaison staff (our non-technical point of contact people
in the field) and home office end-users. Goal is to send participants away
knowing: rudimentary concepts and terminology; how to identify threats
(considered broadly); who to contact with what information should they find
one (and for liaisons, to be able to pass some of that knowledge on to
others). I thought to condense a basic introduction from the US-CERT Cyber
Security tips material, among other sources. I also thought that a live
demonstration of a computer system being completely screwed up by some
malware as a result of making some typical user security blunders might be
a good attention-getter. I do know that there are already commercial
courses available, but it is difficult to motivate our users to attend
them, and they are not tailored to our corporate culture (probably those
are related). Any ideas on the basic instruction, or pointers to
particularly good sources to crib from? Any suggestions about the proposed
demonstration? Has such a thing been done before? Thanks in advance.
