Hi there.

The document extract below outlines "some" of the areas required but
does not say (depending on the level of clearance required) that they
will interview a relative/friend etc and grill them about you and if you
have been lying in any way! in the application.

Update....I have resubmitted this as the moderator didn't like the
associated country being mentioned as it was not Canada.....
Nevertheless it was a close relation and the Security Clearance check
for Canada will be near identical.

information about certain close relatives born outside the *****

11. Military History - All service in **** and/or foreign military
organizations.

12. Foreign Activities - Foreign property ownership, contacts, and
passports.

13. Military Record - Any less than honorable discharges.

14. Selective Service Record - Selective service registration number or
exemption.

15. Medical Record - Any consultation/treatment with health professional
for mental health related condition during last 7 years. Provide name,
address, and phone number of provider.

16. Employment Record - Details on certain employment terminations.

17. Police Record - Charged or convicted offenses. Name of law
enforcement agency and location of court.

18. Illegal Use of Drugs and Drug Activities - Any use in past 7 years,
use in sensitive position, and other activity.

19. Alcohol Use - Treatment/counseling in last 7 years.

20 Clearances/Investigations Record - Others held, denied, revoked,
suspended.

21. Financial Record - Bankruptcies, repossessions, wage garnishments,
tax aliens, unpaid judgments, delinquent debts.

22. Public Record Civil Court Actions - Any in last 7 years not covered
elsewhere in form.

23. Association Record - Association with an/or participation in
organizations advocating violent overthrow of **** Government.
