I use Password Safe, too, and am comfortable with its security and encryption standard. It's default settings aren't best practices, but at least this freeware gives you the room to modify those settings (e.g. clear clipboard upon minimize/exit, lock database upon minimize/exit, etc.) The average password cracking tool could crack say a standard encrypted archive, but it probably wouldn't be easy to crack Password Safe's key db. If anyone has tested any other tools, let me know. Cheers! -- ALEXANDER BOLANTE Alexander.Bolante () gmail com "I hate quotations. It's not freeware, but I use PasswordsPlus from Dataviz. It's on my PC, and it syncs with my Kyocera 7135 Smartphone ( Palm based ) so I've always got an encrypted copy of my passwords with me.
