Compaq Fingerprint readers - software

Hi,

Does anyone know what software I can use with the now unsupported
parallel port attached Compaq biometric finger reader? 
Identix the company that originally supplied the Compaq software,
BioLogon v2.02 now charges $75 per copy for version 3 that supports
Windows XP.

Does anyone know of a compatible software product or another open source
offering?
