I am looking a full-disk-encryption S/W for my Linux based laptop.

2] It should use AES (256 bit preferred)

Could any one suggest such best tool for Linux ?

TrueCrypt is a great solution for full disk encryption. Very secure,
fast, and easy to use.

Truecrypt is not capable of encrypting the boot partition in the OP's
scenario, see their FAQ [1] (last question).

You may wish to listen to Security Now Podcast episode #41,

You may want to take anything coming from Steve Gibson with a grain of
salt [2].
