Having come from the DoD where "secure network" means "no connection to
the public internet", I struggle with allowing access to the internet
with those machines.  As was pointed out in a prior post, it has a lot
to do with the "level of security/paranoia" you are aiming for.  

I would personally steer clear of solutions that allow the two to
commingle but there is one added option that I have not seen yet.  

If you add a thin client for each person (approx $200) with only the
minimal systems required to access the internet, and a 2 port KVM, you
may be able to bring this down to a reasonable price.  (There is also a
server that manages the Terminal Sessions with the thin clients needed).
This keeps the systems independent, keeps one desktop set (monitor,
mouse & keyboard) and if properly planned, could be your least
expensive/most secure/lowest maintenance options (I particularly favor
low maintenance).
