Just a quick reply to the comment about "the price is what the market will bear" comment posted earlier (then I'll stop ranting about certs), did you ever think that the reason the market will bear these prices is that employers are the ones paying for 99% of these tests? Employers are the ones that are making these certs mandatory, either for current staff or as new hires, and they are the ones that are paying for most of them. And just because they have deeper pockets than Joe Citizen doesn't give the cert companies the right to charge so much for them. And the same goes for technical training classes. The prices these people are charging is simply ridiculous. Think about it- an average of $2400 for a week of training, with 10-15 students per class... No wonder the guy that owned the place drove a benz and wore a rolex.....
