Do you mean Tiger as in Mac OS X 10.4?  If so, the interface "fe80" is a
the beginning of a IPV6 address, so I'd assume it can't access an IPv6
address.  If you go ahead and disable IPv6 via system preferences, does
that change anything?  You don't necessarily need to run IPv6 unless
it's required by your ISP.

I can't find an explanation of this on google, and netstat doesn't  
seem to see any of these...
