could someone tell me what would happen to encrypted traffic if you have an expired certificate?? Does the traffic flow in clear text henceforth?? or just that the credebility of traffic from that source cannot be accounted for??
Traffic is still encrypted, but the credibility of the server holding the certificate can be questioned. Users of the site would not as easily know if their information is being subjected to a man in the middle attack with another server housing a certificate. -- Mark Owen
