None of the reports I've read about the Trend product suggest a move away
from conventional AV blacklisting: they're just moving the database away
from the desktop. The similarity is that both companies are using hashes to
identify and classify files but other antivirus products do that too.
However, Bit9's classification scheme is slightly different: their primary
focus is whitelisting.
