Hi all:

We currently support & manage security services for several corporate
customers and we use SEP as antimalware platform; we find it effective,
comfortable to manage and this version (11 SR4, with DB redundancy options,
etc.) has great improvements on features, but also on local performance
impact... I strongly suggest to use the SEP 11 SR4.

All the best,

Valentín Fernández Bolland

Asunto: Symantec SEPM vs. ISS Proventia Desktop

Hi List,
We currently have both Symantec's Endpoint Protection and ISS Proventia
Desktop deployed on our laptops. They both offer intrusion
prevention/detection features. I was wondering if anyone had had any
experience with these products. We are planning on keeping the Symantec
product since it offers other security (antivirus, antimalware, etc); we
just need to make a decision whether to also keep the ISS product to offered
more layered security or to remove it since it is already covered by
Symantec.

Thanks!
