Hi, having an admin right can help malware install and run itself so as to damage or compromise your computer. For example, a Virus/ worm/ Trojan or blended attack could format your hard disk drive, delete your files, could become a member of DDoS attack launch, create a new user account with administrative access, exploit unpatched vulnerabilities and even compromise the whole network. Please go through the following link which suggests that 92% of critical vulnerabilities can be mitigated by removing admin rights. http://www.beyondtrust.com/documentation/whitePapers/wp_VulnerabilityReport.pdf Thanks, Kartik ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This list is sponsored by: InfoSec Institute Need to pass the CISSP?
