I have used Big Brother to monitor and manage global enterprise network,
consisting of 100s of servers, and other network device...in my former
job..Also use Nagios, OpenNMS, MRTG and Smokeping in my new role, all open
source and all much better than Big Brother (IMHO)

Greetings all,

Since we are discussing Nagios, I thought I might place a small
enquiry here as well. Are they any resource sites/ forums besides the
Nagios main site or the one recommended english forum on their site.
Am looking for a more comprehensive forum with some guidance on the
app since I need to do some playing around and testing for work.
Thanks in advance guys and sincerely appreciate the help.

Dear all,

I am currently looking for the network monitoring software for a
mid-size company, which around 300 PCs and 40 Servers. Some
salesperson recommended me to purchase the PacketTrap from QUEST
SOFTWARE or SPLUNK.

Do you have any positive experience with these two softwares? Any
experience to share?
