Hello Roger, 'sudo apt-get install tshark' and 'sudo apt-get install wireshark' is your friend ! -> Simply sniff the network traffic to see what kind of computers are there. And for (german) law reasons: You're not allowed to sniff network traffic from others, because you'll see unencrypted html pages and E-Mails too. If you want to dig deeper into Wireless Securitry I recommend the Book 'Backtrack 5 Wireless Penetration Testing Beginner's Guide' from 'Vivek Ramachandran'. Greetings, Thomas

I installed it at home and found a couple of networks, one of them open, other belonging to some friends who will give me access later. Basically, the AP can connect to the open network, but after that, I have no idea about what else can I do. My question is, how can I gather information about the network Im connected? The member PCs, their IP, what are they sharing, etc. Im using Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10. -- Roger D. Vargas Escuela de Hotelería y Turismo Orlando Fernández El dinero no te da la felicidad.
