This assumes, of course, that an ISP "looking for torrenting" is specifically looking for *copyright violations*. If it is looking for torrents because of bandwidth abuse, this will stick out like a sore thumb -- "probably legal" or "not a copyright violation" are more accurate than "perfectly legit". Whether they're a policy violation depends on what the local policy IS. Download a bunch of Linux distributions using Torrents (perfectly legit) or set up some trapped admin logins to see if they show up anywhere. - Adam Mooz http://www.AdamMooz.com Sent from my iPhone, please excuse any typos. Is there any way to detect if a sniffer is being used to analyze my
traffic before it gets onto the Internet? Also is it required for a sniffer to have an IP address or can it sniff while remaining "uncontactable" on the network?
