Hi Mike,

Fellow QSA told me that PCI requirement 1.2.1 might be applied in your
case. The requirement reads:

"1.2.1 Restrict inbound and outbound traffic to that which is
necessary for the cardholder data environment."

So, you can restrict the traffic while it is not explicitly required
by business need.
