Best practice in my opinion is to scrap SonicWall and go with Check Point. SW reporting, real time features, versatility, and usability are lacking when compared to Check Point. If it's a small network with no critical systems then SW would be acceptable. Other than that, it's Check Point hands down. I've used both but have never really felt a SW is adequate for anything other than a small network with no critical systems. I know that everyone has an opinion, that's mine.
