I'd be interesting in knowing how this is done.

It's my understanding that if you connect to either coax or twisted
pair correctly, then there is no way of telling the connection is
there unless you had previously run a TDR analysis to compare with.

Of course, if the connection is not done carefully, then it would
be obvious to a TDR ...
