PLATFORM: HP OpenView Network Node Manager version 6.1 for platforms running: HP-UX release 10.20, HP-UX release 11.00, Sun Solaris 2.X, Window NT4.X and Windows 2000. DAMAGE: Potential web password vulnerability. SOLUTION: Apply the appropriate patches noted below. Background Hewlett-Packard Company has been notified of a vulnerability in its OpenView Network Node Manager version 6.1. The user must click in the login box in order to begin entering his or her login information. B. Fixing the problem For HP-UX release 10.20 install patch PHSS_22061 HP-UX release 11.00 install patch PHSS_22062. Please note the dependencies for each. For Sun Solaris 2.X use PSOV_02767, Microsoft products use NNM_00581. Please note the dependencies for each. These four patches are not available from the ITRC, the can be obtained from http://ovweb.external.hp.com/cpe/patches/ C.
