Snort and Nessus - What happens to OSSIM now?

Well with sourcefire getting sold, and nessus going closed source. I wonder what is going to happen with OSSIM www.ossim.net and similar projects. I've been having some fun with it, scheduling nessus scans with perl scripts, getting snort/acid working, installing sensors on all my lab network segments, using pads, ntop etc. Still haven't figured out how the correlation engine is meant to work and what the metrics mean tho!
