-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 There was an article in the New York times this weekend about Consumer Reports and Sharper Image. For those of you not familiar with Consumer Reports, it's a well regarded magazine here in the States that does reviews of various products scientificially. In a recent article, Consumer Reports claims that the Ionic Breeze product is completely ineffective at cleaning air. Of course, Sharper Image sued them, and the suit was dismissed. It's apparantly not against the law to tell people the truth in some fields. In a later study, Consumer Reports looked at ionizing air cleaners, and said that not only do they not clean air, but they introduce potentially harmful amounts of ozone. Sharper Image's CEO called this advisory "irresponsible." - -dave -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFD1i8UB8JNm+PA+iURAjnGAKCWsth34xLYzKmo5nwHfmIw0Lvq7QCfQMQK NffShSlEtmfuxyJpkigPqec= =Spt1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
