Nah. It's because they feared ridicule and humiliation in the US. The talk was pulled by the authors for the almost certain reason that they couldn't actually do what they claimed they had. It was snake oil all along. The Amsterdam talk revealed them to be talentless plagiarists with no skills beyond self-promotion and hype, they presented a crudely hacked up copy of eEye's bootroot project as if it were original work. See the archives for more... They'll probably try to use legal repercussions as an excuse for their backpedalling, though, now that someone's suggested it. They're good at picking up on other people's ideas like that.
