I have to admit stuff like this
<http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/10/12/official-reportedly-claims-us-blames-iran-hackers-for-cyberattacks/?test=latestnews>
article crack me up:
"""
A former U.S. government official says American authorities firmly
believe that Iranian hackers, likely supported by the Tehran government,
were responsible for recent cyberattacks against oil and gas companies
in the Persian Gulf and that they appeared to be in retaliation for the
latest round of U.S. sanctions against the country.

Senior defense officials said the information was declassified so that
Panetta could make the public remarks.

"These attacks mark a significant escalation of the cyber threat,"
Panetta said. "And they have renewed concerns about still more
destructive scenarios that could unfold."

As we said on this list a month ago
<https://lists.immunityinc.com/pipermail/dailydave/2012-September/000209.html>
this is pretty obvious. It's the implications that are interesting.
Also, since the hackers who do this stuff email this very mailing list,
it's not exactly super secret. The whole point is that it's not secret.
The point is that it could have been a lot worse for Saudi Aramco. It
could have been a total loss, and everyone on every side knows it.
