http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013/mar/05/ex-postal-worker-gets-two-years-theft-credit-card-/ A man who stole debit and credit cards from the mail while he was an employee at the U.S. Postal Service has been sentenced to two years in federal prison.
From May to July 2011, Jerome Harvey, 34, stole credit cards, debit
cards, and personal identification information as a temporary mail sorter for the Postal Service, the U.S. attorney for the district of Nevada said in a Tuesday release. Harvey, of Las Vegas, pleaded guilty in November to one count of aggravated identity theft and, in addition to prison time, was hit with a $5,951 fine and a year of supervised release. Harvey is allowed to remain free until June 7 when he’s expected to report to prison. _______________________________________________ Dataloss-discuss Mailing List (dataloss-discuss () datalossdb org) Archived at http://seclists.org/dataloss/ Unsubscribe at http://datalossdb.org/mailing_list Supporters: Risk Based Security (http://www.riskbasedsecurity.com/) Risk Based Security equips organizations with security intelligence, risk management services and on-demand security solutions to establish customized risk-based programs to address information security and compliance challenges.
