I am just a bit curious how you define the border of your network? <><Randy <><Randall Grimshaw Room 203 Machinery Hall Syracuse University Syracuse, NY 13244 315-443-5779 rgrimsha () syr edu

Are there any users currently using or planning to implement Network Admission Control (NAC) into their data network infrastructure? We are currently listening to vendor presentations on the good, bad and ugly of this implementation (not that vendors would agree w/the latter two). We will soon be given a mandate for network infrastructure to enforce security policy compliance on all devices seeking to access oour network resources, in order to limit damage from security threats, and this implementation into our environment will change our users forever. If anyone has recommendations, horror stories and/or just good information please pass it on. ````````````````````````` Darnell Walker, Jr. Director, Network Services The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Tel:(214)648-8228 Fax:(214)648-6610 email:darnell.walker () utsouthwestern edu
