FWIW, we do not have any of the commercial services, available for free, on campus. I did wonder, after seeing these stats, if we had noticed any change. I can't post our numbers, but, while they are lower than these they have also been remarkably consistent over the last three years.
Our numbers tend to be much lower than these as well. We use packeteer to do basic traffic shaping but we'll also disconnect users if we see abnormally large amounts of outgoing traffic. We often wonder if we disconnect people before someone has a chance to complain about them. It's not a we'll want to play with too much testing the hypothesis. -- Chris Green UAB Data Security, 5-0842
