Campus card security

Hi everyone,

We are in the initial process of considering various student card
services at our institution. These include meal plans, payment with
local vendors, building access, etc.

One area of concern is the use of magnetic stripe information to
provide these services, since it is very easy to write information to a
mag stripe card.

I would be interested in hearing how other institutions deal with this
issue.  Have you discussed with your card vendor how they secure the
card, and do you use mag stripe or contactless cards?
