While it's almost impossible to say with any scientific certainty, I'd say that here Ruckus did not decrease our count of DMCA violations at all. -Rick Roger Safian wrote:

My guess is that there are plenty of options for listening to music on your computer, but what students want is being able to copy that music to their mp3 player. They also want to be able to do this for free, since their perceived competitors offer "free" downloads. Until you can make significant changes to the culture, whereas downloading material has a social stigma, "free" is going to trump a buck a song.
