Hi Ramon,

We at Quinnipiac would be interested in getting a sanitized copy of your
criteria.

We are entertaining at looking to another vendor for a firewall
solution.

I'd like to see what your criteria list looked like if you are willing
to share.

Here, at University of Texas Pan American, we replaced our previous
firewall solution with soon-to-be redundant Fortigate 5000 series
firewalls after conducting a thorough evaluation (over 100 criteria).
The solution is extremely flexible in its configuration options
(IDS/IPS, VPN, Firewall, AV, and web filtering). We are also pleased
about the scalability options since we are going through some growing
pains and may double our internet bandwidth within the year.

We are looking at upgrading our campus's firewall. We are currently
using a pair of end of life PIX 515s. We have been looking at the Cisco
ASA and Juniper Netscreen products. We are very early in our evaluation
and haven't talked with any venders yet. We are wondering if any other
campus has been through this process recently and can offer any
suggestions. We are looking at the bandwidth they can handle, price,
added features such as VPN, IDS/IPS functionality, likes and dislikes
and any other helpful advise. Currently we are a mixed Cisco and HP
shop, but are open to any and all vendors solutions.
