An EDUCAUSE Live event later this week will address, in part, an earlier discussion thread on this list (E-mail from ARIN ref. Legacy Registration Services). John Curran, the Chairman of ARIN, will be joining host Steve Worona to discuss IPv4 Depletion and Migration to IPv6. And although his abstract does not mention ARIN's Legacy Registration Services Agreement (which was discussed on the Security list a few months ago: http://listserv.educause.edu/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0803&L=security&T=0&F= &S=&P=20230), this is a topic that will be addressed during the Q&A sessions. Registration is now available online: http://www.educause.edu/LIVE0813 June 18 EDUCAUSE Live!: "IPv4 Depletion and Migration to IPv6" 1:00 pm Eastern John Curran, chairman of the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), will present the current IP address usage situation, give a brief history of the problem, and discuss issues regarding the migration to IPv6.
