Great news! Jeff Gassaway with University of New Mexico agreed to sponsor this class on June 20. Class will run 8am-4pm MT (10am-6pm ET). Hats off to Jeff and his team. Also, special thanks to Beth Young at MOREnet. We are creating a registration website as we speak and I hope to have it up and running very soon. As soon as it is up, I'll resend this note with our Remote Site Contract. We'll accept up to 15 remote sites and up to 250 students for this next IPv6 Essentials class. Thank you for your patience and responses to my appeal below. SANS is looking for a host location for another IPv6 class. We filled up the April 28 class (over 500 students) so SANS would like to have another class in June. We know we turned away students and organizations because the class size was getting too large. If you were one of those organizations, now is your chance to host the instructor! MOREnet has played host to many SANS instructors over the years and being able to interact with these talented individuals is worth the effort of hosting a class. If you have specific questions about what it is like to play host to a SANS class, email me. If you are interested in hosting the IPv6 class, please contact Daryl. If you aren't interested in being the host site but are willing to connect as a remote classroom, email Daryl. We were planning to run a second SEC546 IPv6 Essentials Simulcast on June 20, but the sponsoring school was not quite ready to move forward. So, before we cancel this June 20 class, I thought it best to ask the EDU Advisory Board if they would like to sponsor this class, and host Dr. Johannes Ullrich at your school? Details of sponsorship are in the attached contract. We simply need one school, or a combination of partnering schools, to guarantee that 100 students from around North America will register for this class. SANS will help you market this class. Please keep in mind that the April 28 class maxed out quite quickly at 500 students. Also, the instructor hosting school must have a very robust and dependable internet connection. We need a decision by EOB April 29. Please contact me ASAP with interest, questions, etc. Class Details: Delivery Format: SANS Simulcast (vLive! platform) Class Title: SEC546: IPv6 Essentials Class Dates: June 20, 2011 Class Times: 9am - 5pm Class Instructor: Johannes Ullrich, Ph.D. List Price: $995 EDU Price: $350 Reg. website: (TBA) Thank you, Daryl Gilbertson National Account Manager SANS Institute 678-714-5712 (EST) DGilbertson () sans org <http://www.sans.org/partnership> www.sans.org/Partnership "The SANS EDU (Partnership) program has helped us to get quality security training for our IT staff.
