For my own edification I tested NxTop as well as XenClient in mid 2011. NxTop is pretty slick if you need to run
multiple OSes on a laptop or workstation. I recall having Windows 7, Ubuntu, and CentOS all running happily on a 3 year
old laptop. Performance was fine for basic productivity work, but of course the guest OSes lacked direct-access video
drivers and alike. NxTop also includes build-in full disk encryption and while the client side VDI package is free,
they charge for the management capabilities.

Never deployed anything beyond a test but would be interested to hear additional opinions.

Best,
alex

Has anyone looked at, or deployed NxTop desktop virtualization? If you deployed NxTop or a similar desktop
virtualization solution that you are happy with, I’d like to get your feedback.

Thanks.
