Chief Information Security Officer - Kansas State University

 

The Office of Information Technology Services at Kansas State University is
seeking applicants for a Chief Information Security Officer.  

 

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) leads the planning,
development, and implementation of the Kansas State University information
systems security program to promote K-State information systems reliability
and accessibility while protecting and defending against unauthorized access
to systems, networks, and data.  Working collaboratively with the campus
community, the CISO coordinates the development and implementation of
university IT security policies and programs, including information and
technology security planning; IT security architecture, policies, and
standards; risk management (including assessment), incident management, IT
security systems management and security awareness and training.  The CISO
supervises the work of IT security staff and teams, including IT security
vendors and contractors.   In addition, the CISO provides expert analysis
and advice on IT security issues and concerns to university leadership and
serves as the university liaison with 

 federal, state, local, and professional organizations.  The CISO reports to
the Vice Provost/CIO.
