Good afternoon all, We here at Armstrong are looking at the possibility of using a cloud based storage solution for both file sharing and user storage. The solution I would like to see would be a hybrid of on-site storage for our sensitive/confidential data and the cloud based storage for everything else. I was wondering if anyone is currently is using this model? If so, I have two questions: 1) What cloud solution did you go with? 2) Do you have a policy or guideline that covers the data as far as what can go where in each of the storage solutions? I am also interested to see what others may have as far as policies covering cloud based solutions when it comes to the Universities data. I have seen some that just flat out say that their policy is that you cannot use it. Thanks for the feedback, Matt --- Matt Marmet Director of IT Security Armstrong Atlantic State University 11935 Abercorn Street Savannah, GA 31419 Desk: (912) 344-3528 Cell: (912) 414-0684 Security Tip: No matter how authentic the request appears, if you are asked in an email or via the phone to provide your password - it is a SCAM. ******* The ITS Team will NEVER, EVER, EVER ----- EVER ask for your username and password via Email.
