URL rewriting thought

This is total corner case consideration, but has anyone looked at the impact of these anti-phishing/spam URL rewriting products that will reformat URLs in emails to send them to a filtering service first on digital signatures? Seems like you would invalidate the signature unless you somehow integrated the signature mechanism with the outgoing email rewriting, and you wouldn’t have any control at all over incoming email where your system is rewriting URLs. -- Julian Y.
