You and your students are invited to attend the U.S. Department of Energy’s free digital eventon Thursday, June 23 
(12pm-1pm), in which Ms. Renee Forney, DOE’s Acting Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity, will moderate a panel of top cyber 
researchers and practitionersfrom some of the region’s finest academic institutions; including American University, 
Excelsior College, George Mason University, Howard University, and Marymount University.

Cyber professionals will be in high demand well in the foreseeable future, so partnering educational institutions with 
the federal government is imperative to the fundamental future of cyber.  By offering innovative programs, challenging 
coursework, public-private partnerships, cyber research studies, grants, and “Scholarship for Service” programs, our 
local college universities are providing cyber professionals with the opportunity to stay ahead of the curve.
Come learn more about how these academic institutions are equipping the next generation to meet today and tomorrow’s 
most-pressing cyber challenges at the local, national, and global levels.
