VASCAN Conference, VA Tech, 9/28-29/2017

Virginia Tech is hosting the annual VASCAN Conference September 28 - 29/2017.
 VASCAN (Virginia Alliance for Secure Computing and Networking) exists for
the purpose of strengthening information technology security programs
within the Commonwealth of Virginia and is attended by IT security
professionals, IT managers, technical staff, and auditors from Higher
Education, K-12, Government, and Law Enforcement. This year's conference
theme is* IOT: The S Stands for Security.*

In addition to track sessions, the conference offers a capture the flag
competition as well as an option for additional professional training. This
year's course is Security Tactical Operations presented by Kevin Johnson of
Secure Ideas. This is a low cost, high quality conference with CPEs
provided.

COST: $135/person for 1.5 day conference, $200/person for 2 day included
Tactical Sec Ops class taught by former SANS instructor Kevin Johnson.
