Good morning security list mates,
The call for proposals for the 2018 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference will be opening soon. Proposals are accepted until
February 2, 2018. See https://events.educause.edu/annual-conference/2018/call-for-proposals for more detail.

Please take a moment to read the call for proposals and considering submitting a session proposal regarding the
information security, privacy, and IT risk management activities on your campus. The conference has a track uniquely
suited to the issues faced by higher education information security and privacy practitioners:
Managing and Reducing Information Technology Risk
IT organizations share accountability for managing institutional continuity of operations within an open and shifting
environment. The pace of change, such as the growing use of cloud services challenge these efforts, as do changing
compliance requirements and increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. From proactively preventing data breaches to
sending emergency alerts to protecting privacy, the real-time tactical and long-term strategic need for risk management
is vital to all higher education IT leaders.
Kind regards,
Joanna
