Dear Security & Privacy Discussion Group members, Thank you for responding to our latest HEISC survey on current risks and top issues in the higher ed community. A summary is provided below. The top 5 issues/risks that survey respondents are currently facing (May 2018): 1. Limited resources for the security program (too much work, not enough time or people), 32% 2. Phishing & social engineering, 29% 3. GDPR compliance, 28% 4. Risk management, including risk assessments, 21% 5. Protecting Personally Identifiable Information (reducing end-user storage and access to PII), 19% 119 individuals took the poll, and the top 3 roles represented were: 1. CISOs, 22% 2. Director/lead InfoSec, 17% 3. CIOs, 12% Have a great week!
